SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - We need highly skilled Computer and Networking professionals with over 5 years experience deploying and supporting Windows based networks. We are a small but very successful and steadily growing company working primarily with small businesses and organizations. Because of the nature of our work, we need outstanding people that meet a variety of qualifications. Salary range $60-80K+, depending upon your skills and experience. Because of our growth and ongoing, increasing demand for our services, those with the right attributes will be on a fast track to our Senior IT Manager position and incomes into the $90s and above. This is an excellent situation for the right person.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years experience
  • Excellent people skills, communication skills and self-management skills
  • Honesty, integrity, and a genuine desire to help
  • Very reliable; able to manage your time and your work, and get things done
  • Advanced knowledge, skills and experience with the following:
    • Windows Server OS: 2008, 2003
    • Exchange Server 2007, 2003 and 2000
    • Terminal Services
    • VPN
    • Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2003
    • Windows Desktop OS: Vista, XP (very little W2K)
    • Symantec (formerly Veritas) Backup Exec
    • Trend Micro and/or Symantec/Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition
    • Hardware firewalls (e.g. Fortinet, SonicWALL, Cisco)
    • Other networking gear (switches, routers, etc.)
    • Desktop and server computer hardware

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2003 or 2000) certification preferred. If you have MCSA certification or equivalent skills you may qualify but will be expected to achieve certification according to a schedule agreed to once you have completed your 30 day review.

BENEFICIAL ATTRIBUTES (BUT NOT REQUIRED)
  • Knowledge, skills and experience with the following:
    • Linux (NOTE at this time we are very interested in people with recent Linux experience)

    • SharePoint (WSS and MOSS)
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Microsoft Access
    • Accounting softwares, esp. QuickBooks, MAS, Great Plains
    • CRM softwares, esp. Goldmine, ACT!, Microsoft CRM
    • Security assessments and consulting
    • Citrix
    • Recent experience in a Managed Services Provider environment
    • Security, Project Management, Citrix, or Cisco certification(s)

Salary range $55-75K+, depending upon your skills and experience. Looking for someone who can progress to the Senior Systems Engineer level. This is an excellent situation for the right person.

  • Honesty, integrity, and a genuine desire to help
  • Very reliable; able to manage your time and your work, and get things done
  • Knowledge, skills and experience with most of the following:
